Quick answers
Questions for the office
Find answers about appointments, records and arriving at the office. For instructions about your own procedure, follow the plan your clinical team gave you.
Call 703-594-1583Do I need a referral?
It depends on your insurance and the appointment you need. Call 703-594-1583 with your insurance details so we can check the office’s requirements. Your insurer determines coverage.
What records should be sent before my visit?
Recent office notes, previous surgery records, test results and imaging reports may be helpful. Tell us where the original images are available. Call first so we can confirm what is needed and how to send it.
Can I email records or photographs?
Please use your patient portal or fax records to 571-601-2937. If you need to send photographs or do not have portal access, call for instructions. The general email address should not be used for medical information or questions about your care.
Where will my office appointment take place?
Consultations, comprehensive pre-op appointments, selected office procedures, and follow-up take place at 3650 Joseph Siewick Drive, Suite 205B, Fairfax, Virginia 22033. Review the campus map before leaving home.
Where will an advanced procedure take place?
Our clinicians hold privileges at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. Procedures that need a hospital operating room, additional monitoring or an inpatient stay take place there. Follow the hospital’s arrival instructions; the check-in location is different from our office.
How do I get patient portal access?
Open the invitation from our office. If it has expired, you have changed email addresses or you never received it, call 703-594-1583. Never send your password by email.
Should I stop a medication before surgery?
Do not stop a prescribed medication because of general website information. The responsible clinical office will give you a procedure-specific plan for medicines, fasting, testing, transportation, and arrival.
Does the practice accept my insurance?
Call 703-594-1583 with your insurance card handy so we can check your plan. Coverage can differ by clinician, service and location. A referral or authorization does not guarantee that your insurer will pay.
Can I request an interpreter or accessibility assistance?
Yes. Call 703-594-1583 before your visit to tell us what you need, such as an interpreter or help getting into the office.
What should I do about urgent symptoms?
Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for an emergency. For a time-sensitive concern that is not an emergency, call the responsible clinical office; do not rely on email, fax, or a website response.
