VSS provides clinical care, including surgical consultation, anesthesia, preoperative assessment, selected office procedures and follow-up. Patient records, clinical billing, prescribing and professional medical decisions remain with VSS.
USMSS provides the public brand, education, space and administrative support. USMSS and VSS are independent entities that work together through contractual agreements; neither is a division or subsidiary of the other.

Clinical and facility requirements
Clinical services are subject to the licensing, credentialing, privileging, documentation and safety requirements that apply to each clinician, procedure and care setting. Advanced procedures at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital are performed by clinicians with the appropriate hospital privileges and follow hospital policies.
Contact administration for documentation about service lines, purchasing authority, equipment use or facility arrangements. Include your organization, the purpose of your inquiry and a callback number. Do not send patient information by ordinary email.
